Thursday May 29th from 4-5:30pm at Open Jar Studios (1601 Broadway, NYC). The room will be open for 30 minutes before class and 30 minutes after class for mingling and getting situated. $20 pre-sale. $25 day-of.
Social media sensation and West End’s Sophia Adzoa-Moore will be teaching a Theatre Dance Class in collaboration with Creative Adaptations LLC. This class is for all levels, disabled and non-disabled dancers, ages 18+. The venue is wheelchair accessible (including accessible bathrooms). ABOUT SOPHIA
Sophia Adzoa-Moore (she/her) is a disabled musical theatre performer, dance teacher, EDI advocate and content creator.
Sophia dances with crutches due to hEDS, as well as a long term hip condition that means she can’t put weight on her left leg. Before her diagnoses she danced to a high standard and now is using that knowledge to adapt to dancing with mobility aids. She hopes to inspire everyone to try dancing, even if they think they can’t!
Credits include: ensemble in the European premiere of Little Piece of You (Theatre Royal Drury Lane), dancing for Caity Baser at the Paralympic Homecoming Ceremony (Utilita Arena Birmingham), Unreleased Feature Film directed by Kenneth Branagh, Move It Main Stage 23-25, Ballet Girl in Billy Elliot.
